This course provides training for aircraft avionics mechanics involved with aircraft maintenance repairs. The first and second days of the course cover the avionics overview of the Airplane Information Management Systems (AIMS). Day 3 consists of troubleshooting aircraft systems using the Central Maintenance Computing System (CMCS) with the aid of a maintenance access terminal (MAT) and a portable maintenance access terminal (PMAT). On Day 4, the Primary Display System (PDS) and the Air / Ground System are discussed. For Day 5, the Air Data Inertial Reference System (ADIRS) is analyzed. With Days 6 and 7, the Flight Management Computing System (FMCS), Thrust Management Computing System (TMCS), Airplane Conditioning Monitoring System (ACMS), Data Communication Management System (DCMS), Flight Deck Communication System (FDCS), and Electronic Checklists are discussed. Avionics level 1.
